Thank you for deciding to take part in the 'North East Radio Survey'.

This survey is to determine radio listening habits of people in the north east. It will be used to inform radio stations about their current potential reach and help them develop their content. 

The survey should take no longer than 5 to 10 minutes to complete. 

By taking part in the survey you are able to enter a prize drawer to win a Roberts DAB Digital Radio*. More information on the competition is available below.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you participate in our online survey about radio listening habits in North East England. 1. How We Use Your Information We use the information we collect solely for the purpose of understanding radio listening habits in North East England: • To analyze survey data to identify trends and patterns in radio consumption. • To help local radio stations understand their reach and audience. • To contact you if you are a winner in our prize draw (if applicable). • To ensure the integrity and security of our survey platform using technical information like IP addresses. 3. Confidentiality and Data Sharing Your survey responses will be treated as confidential. This means while we know who submitted which responses, we promise not to disclose that information to others in a way that identifies you personally. • Separation of Data: Your name and email address (for the competition) are stored separately from your survey responses to maintain the confidentiality of your feedback. • Sharing Aggregated Data: We may share aggregated or anonymized survey results (meaning results where individual participants cannot be identified) with other radio station organizations, or publish them publicly in reports or presentations. This data will not include any personally identifiable information about you. • No Sharing of Personal Data: We will not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your first name, email address, or individual survey responses to any third parties, except as outlined in this policy or if required by law. 4. Data Storage and Security We are committed to protecting the information you provide. • Storage Location: All survey data, including your contact information (stored separately), is securely stored in Google Drive. • Security Measures: Access to our Google Drive is protected by password protection. • Data Retention: We will retain your survey data for six (6) years from the date of collection to allow for comprehensive analysis and historical comparison. After this period, the data will be securely deleted or permanently anonymized. 5. Your Choices and Rights • Voluntary Participation: Your participation in this survey is entirely voluntary. You can choose not to answer any question or stop participating at any time. • Withdrawal of Responses: You have the right to withdraw your responses after submission. • Contact Us: If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, our data practices, or wish to withdraw your responses, please contact Grim Up North LTD at grimupnorthoffice@Gmail.com. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. Our company is hosted on the WIX platform. Your data may be stored through WIX's data storage, databases and the general WIX applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. We will never share your details with third parties, however third party material may appear in our 'opt in' marketing.​​ If you contact us via E-mail, text message, whatsapp or phone number, the details of that communication may be kept for up to six years. Including but not limited to; your name, e-mail address, phone number, duration of any phone call, recording of any phone call. We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

The promoter is: Grim Up North Ltd (company no. 10321259) The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees Grim Up North LTD, and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. Any data charges that may apply to your connection required for entry are the responsibility of you to pay. There is a limit to one entry per individual. Entries that are incomplete, indecipherable, abusive or fraudulent will be disqualified. Grim Up North Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who violates these terms and conditions. Grim Up North LTD reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entries and entrants and disqualify entries that do not meet the terms and conditions. No responsibility can be accepted by the promoters for entries not received for whatever reason. The rules of the competition will be clearly outlined on this page. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition. The prize is as described exactly on this website. The prize is a new Roberts DAB Digital Radio. The prize has no cash alternative and is not transferable. No alternative prize will be offered. Winners will be chosen at random from all valid entries received and verified by the Promoter and or its agents. The winner(s) will be picked at random by computer and contacted by Email. The promoter will notify the winner when and how the prize can be redeemed. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. If no winner can be found, the prize may be carried forward into another, separate, competition draw. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. Grim Up North LTD reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control. The closing time and date for this competition draw is 1st October 2025 at 23:59. No entries will be accepted after this time. The winner will be notified within 7 days of the closing date. Three attempts will be made to contact the winner over a 14 day period. If we do not receive a response within 14 days of the first attempt the winner will forfeit the prize and a new winner will be selected. Anonymized results of the survey may be shared with third parties. You may request your response is removed from the survey results at anytime by Emailing grimupnorthoffice@gmail.com The prize will be sent by Royal Mail to UK Addresses only. The delivery will require a signature upon delivery. If the prize is not received due to delivery being not possible, or due to an error on the part of the delivery company, an alternative or replacement prize will not be offered.
